About XoMotion™
XoMotion™ is a next-generation self-balancing exoskeleton platform developed by Human In Motion Robotics (HMR) for individuals with lower extremity motor deficits. It is designed to mimic the physiological motion of the lower extremity, enabling complex walking motions and providing superior postural control. The device features advanced sensor systems and multi-modal controllers that allow hands-free functionality, offering unprecedented freedom and independence. XoMotion™ is not yet cleared by the FDA. The platform has three development stages: Ambulatory Training (XoMotion-R) for spinal cord injury patients available at rehabilitation centers in early 2025; Therapeutic Recovery for stroke and other neurological conditions (future); and Personal Mobility for daily use at home and in the community (future). The system accommodates users from 5'0" to 6'4" in height and up to 220 lbs, includes hot-swappable batteries for continuous use, and offers a flexible open control system for research investigators.
