About GitHub Models
GitHub Models is a new platform that enables developers to access and experiment with industry-leading AI models directly within GitHub. It provides a free interactive playground for testing prompts and model parameters with models such as Llama 3.1, GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, Phi 3, and Mistral Large 2. Developers can then seamlessly transition from the playground to their development environment via GitHub Codespaces and VS Code, and eventually deploy to production through Azure AI with built-in responsible AI, enterprise-grade security, and global availability. The platform emphasizes privacy by not sharing prompts or outputs with model providers nor using them for model training. It supports multimodal applications (audio, vision, text) and offers sample code for various languages and frameworks to facilitate experimentation.
